The verdict

Singer Vehicle Design, the California company famous for its reimagined Porsche 911s, acquired Willow Springs International Raceway in the Mojave Desert and built the Singer Drivers Club around it. The setting is the draw: Willow Springs has run since 1953, making it the oldest permanent road course in the United States, and the 600-plus-acre property holds six circuits, led by the legendary 2.5-mile Big Willow — nine fast, flowing corners that have benchmarked generations of drivers — plus the tighter Streets of Willow. The club layers a modern hospitality programme on top of that history: a clubhouse, the retro Paddock Diner, sim racing, driving coaching, desert driving experiences beyond the pavement, and an events calendar the club says stretches from Monterey to Goodwood. Membership is deliberately curated — the club describes it as starting 'with a conversation, not a form' — and pricing is not published. It is a driving-and-culture club rather than a real estate development.

Best forSouthern California enthusiasts who want a historic, fast road course with a curated, culture-first community — especially Singer and air-cooled Porsche devotees.
