How we rate private race track clubs
Joining a private motorsport country club is a six-figure decision in most cases. We score every club on the same seven categories so the comparison is apples to apples, whatever the marketing says.
Value for money

How the overall score is calculated
The headline score out of five is a weighted average of the seven categories. Fun factor, value for money and track time carry the most weight, because those are the three things members consistently say determine whether a membership was worth it. Real estate carries the least, because plenty of excellent clubs do not sell property at all.
What the scores are — and are not
- Ratings are editorial. They are based on published club information, circuit data, member-produced onboard footage and reporting, and they are reviewed as new information appears.
- Clubs under construction are scored on what has been published and announced. Those scores move as facilities are delivered — we mark the status clearly on every page.
- We do not accept payment for placement, and clubs cannot buy a higher score.
- Membership prices change. We publish the last date each page was reviewed; always confirm current numbers with the club before you apply.
