The verdict
New Jersey Motorsports Park is a hybrid: a public motorsports entertainment complex that also runs one of the Northeast's longest-established private member clubs. The 500-acre Millville campus holds two road courses — the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt and the shorter, tighter Lightning — plus Tempest Raceway, one of the better outdoor karting complexes in the country. The Drivers Club is the private side of it: more than 35 member-only track days a season with catered breakfast and lunch, progressive run groups, coaching, and access to Exotic Car Garage condominiums overlooking Thunderbolt. There is a separate Riders Club for motorcycles. Because the park also runs public track days, MotoAmerica rounds and spectator events, members share the venue with a busy public calendar — the trade-off for two circuits, a pub, a pool and hotel partners on site.
Best forPhiladelphia and South Jersey drivers who want two circuits, a real paddock and a professional-grade venue, and riders who want a private club that actually welcomes motorcycles.

What works
- Two distinct road courses, so members can run a fast circuit or a technical one on the same day
- One of the only private clubs with a dedicated motorcycle membership alongside the car club
- Deep member-day calendar — over 35 exclusive days a season
- Within reach of Philadelphia, New York and the Jersey shore
What to weigh up
- No published membership pricing; everything is quote-only
- The park runs a heavy public and pro-race calendar, so it is far less private than a members-only-only club
- Flat coastal terrain means almost no elevation change
- Northeast weather shortens the usable season
